New Team Arrives, Hitting the Ground Running
We want to say thanks to the Santiam team for all of their hard work and service while in Uganda. You always make a great impact on the lives of our kids at Hope. We are very grateful for your service and love. You are, of course, welcome back anytime.
We are also very excited that our next team of 29 people from around the United States have arrived safely and experienced their first day at Hope Children’s Home! It was so awesome to see this team unified with the purpose of demonstrating love to the kids that we have been entrusted to care for. It was amazing to see the team jumping right in with such enthusiasm. The kids have already fallen in love with them.
We have a full schedule planned for this team including spending a lot of time “hanging out” with kids. We are will be reaching out to the widows living around the Field of Dreams where we will be giving them blankets to help keep them warm at night. Many of them don’t even have a blanket. We will be visiting local “hospitals” and prisons where we will distribute some donated medical supplies, encouraging and praying for the patients and inmates. We are very excited about the drilling of a fresh water well for the people of Kaliti (village where Field of Dreams is located). They are so excited that they will have water close to their homes. They are now walking long distances to fetch water every day. Thank you so much to those who donated the funds to drill this life giving source of water!
There will be many updates coming from this new team including some blogs by the individual team members. We know that God will be doing some more incredible things in the lives of both the team members and the people of Uganda.
More to come!
