Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Yesterday I watched my girls and the rest of their schoolmates share their love and heart for their moms through songs, poems and pictures.  As I sat there, I began to cry.  Part of my heart was so moved by the love these children were showing (especially when my daughter said that I was courageous and loving!) and the other part of my heart was crying, because of all the children in Uganda who do not have a mom.  They don’t have an opportunity to feel what our children feel.  They don’t have a mom who cooks, cleans and gives them hugs.  My heart was broken, because having a loving mom should be a part of everyone’s life.

If you are planning to purchase something for your mother and haven’t yet, we have a great idea for you.  Show your mom how much you love her by sharing her with a child in Uganda.  You can give a donation in her name or even sponsor a child.
