Nonprofit IRS 501c3 Status
Show Mercy is recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 Public Benefit Company registered in the state of Oregon. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law less the value of any goods or services received. If you have any questions about the deductibility of your donations, please contact your tax advisor.

Administrative Responsibility
Please note that legally, all donations received by Show Mercy International (SMI) become the property of SMI. The IRS has determined that for a donation to be tax-deductible it must be given to a non-profit organization and that organization must control the funds after they are donated. SMI is dedicated to ensuring that the funds given for a specific missionary or project will be used for that missionary or project, however, by law, SMI legally reserves the right to apply all donated funds wherever is determined necessary at the discretion of the board of directors.

Donation Receipts
You will receive an email confirmation of your donation that can be used for tax receipt purposes. However, we will also issue a summary of all donations received from you for the year in January of the following year.
