Water Projects

Clean and accessible water is something we sometimes take for granted in the Western World. Unfortunately, in Uganda and other third world countries, the water is not as accessible and usually filled with bacteria and disease. Statistics tell us that only around 50% of Uganda has access to clean drinking water. This causes constant sickness in the population including stomach pain, diarrhea and sometimes diseases leading to death. Can you imagine living with a constant stomach ache every day caused by something you need to ingest just to stay alive? This is totally preventable.

While our primary mission is to reach out to the orphaned and abandoned child, we also have a desire to serve the adults and children in the villages surrounding the children’s homes that we are building. One practical way of doing that is by providing clean water for both our children and these local villagers. This "outreach" opens the hearts of the villagers by showing them that we love them and care about their well being as much as we care for that of the children of Uganda.

We have just completed our first of what will be many fresh water bore hole in Uganda. The cost of a project like this is approximately $5000. Considering that these wells will serve between 3000-5000 individuals in the village, the cost is $1-$2 per person to have safe, clean drinking water. You won’t find a better return on your investment than this.

Would you consider helping us continue to provide clean water for the people of Uganda? Your support is greatly appreciated and much needed. You can click here to contribute to this cause.
