Home of Blessed Buds, India

We partnered with World Orphans to help finance the construction of a children’s home in Tenali, India. This home is located on the East side of India (marked with a star on the map). The name of this home is " Home of Blessed Buds".

This building is the home of approximately 50 children and is overseen by Ravi Varma and his wife Santha Kumari. They were both brought up in poor Christian families.

When Santha Kumari was studying in school on a scholarship from KNH, Madam Gisela, a retired lecturer from Germany, adopted her from KNH and educated her. Santha completed her M.A., B.Ed. As she belonged to a poor family and knowing the life of the poor and needy people, she is full of compassion for these children. She remembers how she was helped, so she started a home for orphans. She began with 30 children and now it has increased to 50 children.

There are 70 children (50 orphans + 20 outside) and 5 teachers in this home and school. They are feeding 50 children with the small salaries and with the gift of local donors.

India is in our heart!  Thank you for your partnership and help.
