Grace 153 Ambassadors

Inspire others, share stories, and help connect children in Uganda with the support they need. Your “yes” can spark real change.

“Empowering every child to know they are a King’s kid, destined to reign.”

What is the Grace Ambassador Team?

You don’t need a mic or a stage to make a difference.

This program is for people who are ready to use their voice, creativity, and influence—online and offline—to change lives. Whether you’re sharing on social media, having a conversation, or telling a story that matters, you carry the power to shift atmospheres and bring hope. This isn’t just about using your voice or influence to rally help (though it will!). This is about stepping into a purpose-filled, Spirit-led community of like-hearted people who are saying yes to the call.

This is a global movement born from one boy’s story, built for people ready to make a real difference.

As a Grace Ambassador, you’ll use your voice and influence to help children in Uganda get sponsored—opening the door to clean water, education, medical care, and the life-changing truth that they are seen, known, and loved.

We believe every child deserves more than survival. They deserve clean water, love, education—and the chance to know who they truly are: a King’s kid, destined to reign.

As a Grace Ambassador, you won’t just support a mission. You’ll step into purpose.

What You’ll Receive:

  • Monthly Zooms filled with prayer, encouragement, wins, and friendship rooted in Kingdom purpose

  • Real stories from Uganda that stir faith and open hearts

  • Social media graphics and messaging tools

  • Opportunities to fundraise and make an eternal impact

  • Personal leadership and spiritual growth through mentorship

No, we don’t have all the answers—and that’s the best part. You’re not just joining a movement. You’re helping shape it. Whether you’re 19 or 59, if something is stirring in your heart… say yes.

Say yes to purpose. Say yes to the next child discovering they are loved and chosen.

Let’s do this—together.

From the Founders Heart

When we launched Show Mercy in 2004, we had no big plan—just a “yes” to help 50 children.

I’m Lori Salley, co-founder of Show Mercy International, and Grace was one of the very first children my husband Mike and I personally sponsored.

He was just 7. Orphaned, barefoot, and forced to work in the fields from sunup to sundown.

He wasn’t allowed to go to school. He slept on a mud floor. His hands and feet were raw from digging in the dirt.

But everything changed when Grace entered our care. He received meals, medical treatment, shoes, a bed—and for the first time, he got to go to school. More than that, he was surrounded by love. And slowly, he began to dream again.

One day, after sharing the pain of his past through tears, Grace looked up at me and said something I’ll never forget:

“I now know what it means to be a King’s kid.”

That moment marked him—and it marked me. Grace’s life became a cornerstone of our mission and a picture of what’s possible when love says yes.

Grace passed away in 2008… but his legacy is still bringing children into hope and purpose today.

The 153 Vision

When we recently expanded our sponsorship program, we weren’t chasing a number. We were simply saying yes—child by child, need by need. But when we finally counted… 153.

That number stopped me. And immediately, I thought of John 21—where Jesus tells His disciples to cast their net again. They obeyed—and caught 153 fish. The net didn’t break. They pulled it in together.

But what made it even more personal… was Grace.

Before he passed away, Grace often talked about his many dreams of casting nets and pulling in a great catch. At the time, we didn’t realize just how prophetic those dreams were.

So when I heard the number 153, I knew. It wasn’t random. It was connected to him. That’s why this team is called the Grace 153 Ambassadors.

The children are the catch. The net is full. It’s time to pull it in—together.

We believe Grace is cheering us on from Heaven, saying:

“Cast the net. Bring them in. Help my brothers and sisters know what I now know—that they are loved, chosen, and called to reign.”

Your yes could be the reason a child is sponsored, seen, and set on a new path. Together, we’ll help each one discover they’re not forgotten—they’re royalty.

Let’s cast the net—together.

Grace's Story:

In 2004, when we began Show Mercy, we had no idea the depth and reach this journey would take. We simply said yes to helping 50 children. That’s it. No grand strategy. Just obedience.

And that’s when I met Grace—a quiet, wide-eyed little boy sitting in a church service. I invited him to sit on my lap, and from that moment on, he had a special place in my heart.

Grace’s story was painful. His father had died of AIDS, and by custom, he was sent to live with his grandparents. At just seven years old, Grace was forced to work in the fields from dawn to dusk, digging for food with his bare hands. He wasn’t allowed to go to school. He slept on the hard mud floor. His clothes were rags. He was in constant pain—his feet and hands raw and infected from living barefoot in the dirt.

When he was finally brought into our sponsorship program, everything changed.

A Heart Transformed

Grace was safe. He had a bed. A blanket. Shoes. Meals. Clean water. Medical care. An education. But more than all of that—he had love.He would run to carry my bags every time I visited. He started dreaming big, bold dreams. He told me with glistening eyes that one day he would be a pastor and evangelist for Jesus. And over and over again, he dreamed of fishing—casting nets—pulling in a catch.

One day, as he wept in my arms sharing the horrors of his early life, he suddenly lifted his head, smiled, and said something I will never forget:

“I now know what it means to be a King’s kid.”

Grace discovered who he truly was—not an orphan, not a slave—but a son of the King. That truth changed everything for him. And it became a cornerstone of this ministry’s calling.

The Final Goodbye

In 2008, we received the heartbreaking news that Grace had passed away. While being treated in the hospital for an injury, doctors discovered he had leukemia. It progressed quickly, and we didn’t even have time to say goodbye.

But then, something miraculous happened. My husband Mike had a dream. In it, Grace was sitting on Jesus’ lap—radiant, whole, joyful. He looked at Mike and said something like:

“Thank you… for showing me what a good Poppa is on the earth.”

He woke up in tears. It was as if Grace had come back one last time to say thank you—and to pass the baton.
