We are

passionate

people

about

Our Mission

is to MOBILIZE, INSPIRE and EMPOWER individuals all over the world

to live life on purpose while reaching out in love.

Show Mercy works on the ground providing direct assistance that helps children, families and communities in Uganda reach their full potential in life.

Where we work

Show Mercy International in Uganda is located approximately 14 miles NW of Kampala off of Hoima Road in the village of Nawanswa/Kaliti.

Our ministry is fueled by a passion for people. In 2003, when we (Mike and Lori Salley - Co-Founders) first went to Uganda, we experienced the LOVE of Jesus in an incredible way. We knew then, we had to extend this same opportunity to others. That's when Show Mercy was born.

Since then, thousands of people have rallied around this passion at SMI, and together we are making a life changing difference -  not only in Ugandan families, but in people all around the world.
Over 25 different nations have been represented at our Uganda base of operations! Who knew God would draw people from around the world to meet and work together.
With one heartbeat, we reach out in love into the villages surrounding our almost 50 acre base.
WE want you to know there is a place for you in this ministry.

Here's how we put our passion into action:

Our Cultural Values

Our cultural values were created by both our team in the US and Uganda. It defines what we strive to obtain as stewards of the ministry of Show Mercy.

Kingdom
Focused

We desire our lives and work to be a reflection of the Kingdom of God that lies within us. We realize that every circumstance is an opportunity to show God’s light and reveal the truth of who He is. The way we see, think and speak reflects the finished work of the Cross. We live a celebratory lifestyle marked by rejoicing, thanksgiving and gratitude. We show honor and respect to everyone we encounter. We work together AS ONE in Christ.

Personal

Ownership

We take personal responsibility for the mission and vision of Show Mercy. We take individual and collective responsibility for our actions. We steward all resources as if they were our own and to the best of our ability.

Expressive

passion

We are passionate about the mission and vision of Show Mercy and therefore, we go above and beyond expectations in our work. We allow our relationship with Jesus shine through in all we do. We display our passion across all areas, from stewardship of resources to our work productivity.

ConsistEnt Growth

We continually evaluate and improve upon ourselves to add value to the organization and ourselves. We are motivated and encouraged to continually grow and learn by taking on new challenges. We are adaptable, flexible and proactive. We look for ways to benefit the organization, not use the organization for our own benefit. We are thankful for how far we’ve come and we are always dreaming for what is yet to come.

We do everything with the utmost level of integrity and honesty. We are both dependable and responsible, carrying out our duties with the highest standards. Once we make a commitment, we see it through to completion, knowing our failure or success affects our whole team. We do the right thing no matter the consequences.

Steadfast
Accountability

Our Financial Efficiency

Show Mercy takes seriously our responsibility to be as efficient as possible with the finances entrusted to us while providing quality services with excellence to those we serve. You can be confident that your donations are making a true impact in the lives of so many in Uganda and the USA.
