July was worth CELEBRATING!

Hello from Uganda! We hope you are having a fun, joyful summer! This past month was a big one for our Show Mercy family. We have so much to celebrate and give thanks to God for!

We invite you to read a few updates and thank the Lord for what is happening in Uganda. At the end of this update, you’ll find a few ways to pray over our team and community as well.

WE WELCOMED 30 NEW SPONSORS TO OUR FAMILY THIS MONTH!

Can you imagine the smiles on the mothers', fathers', and grandparents' faces when we told them that their child received the gift of sponsorship for the FIRST time?!

We were able to share this good news to 30 children and their families in July!!! We're truly blown away.

Sponsorship is worth celebrating. It is all about empowerment – empowering children to reach their full potential and empowering their guardians to raise their kids to the best of their abilities. Sponsorship changes lives!

Through so many of you – whether you prayed, advocated and shared about a child, or sponsored a child yourself – you were able to help us get 30 children sponsored in 10 days!

Thank you for taking part in our campaign and for celebrating with us. We are SO grateful! THANK YOU!

YOUR SUPPORT HELPED BABY ELIZABETH GET LIFESAVING CARE!

Thank you for coming alongside us financially and through prayer to help get Elizabeth the best medical care possible.

We were able to use our new medical outreach vehicle to transport Elizabeth to a hospital in the city. She is doing so much better and is currently receiving malnourishment treatment.

We plan to continue sharing updates and ask that you pray over her life!

Our encounter with Elizabeth was a huge reminder of how important the work of our medical team is. Twice per week, they head into the villages for medical outreaches.

The individuals they meet are almost always facing severe health situations. Whether it’s distance, cost of transportation, fearing the cost of treatment, or the severity of sickness… something stops them from getting the medical care they desperately need.

In July, our medical team saw hundreds of patients. The very scary reality of stories like Elizabeth’s are changing through these outreaches! Sick individuals of all ages are getting the care they deserve and their dignity is being restored.

WE'RE SO GRATEFUL FOR OUR NEW FRIENDS & THEIR SERVICE!

We are blessed to have Cindy and Ruth serving alongside our team right now! Their servant hearts are evident as they shine the light of Jesus! Below are a few fun moments at Say No To Hunger and the Bridge tutoring program.

We can’t forget to share how grateful we are to be celebrating our 18 year anniversary! We thank God for every individual that has walked on this journey with us over the years. Incase you missed it, we invite you to read a few brief highlights from the past 18 years of serving in Uganda!

JOIN US IN PRAYER THIS MONTH!

STUDENTS BEGIN THEIR 3-WEEK HOLIDAY BREAK SOON!

Did you know that students are in their second term of the school year right now? That’s right… It may be summer break in the US, but in Uganda students are hard at work!

In a couple of weeks, students will start their holiday break. They will return home for three weeks to spend time with their family and have a break from their studies!

Join us in praying for the children and youth during their time away from school. Pray for safety, good health, and opportunities for them to connect with their families.

Pray for our staff as they work hard to see the students at their homes, at Say No To Hunger, and at other fun youth gatherings.

WE'RE HARD AT WORK ON THE NEW MEDICAL EXPANSION!

We are in the process of expanding our medical center!!!

This new expansion will allow us to care for patients overnight, increase the space where we do lab work, and the overall number of patients we can care for at one time. Please pray for the builders and for all of the details to come together.

We are also very excited for a big dream of ours to soon become a reality… the opening of the Dream Center! Our team is in the process of finalizing the last minute details that will allow us to fully operate in the Dream Center. We can’t wait to update you on this soon!

Thank you for your continued prayers!

INDIVIDUALS & TEAMS ARE HEADING TO UGANDA!

Please also join us in praying for the many individuals and teams that will be serving with us in the next few months!

We will have many new faces around Field of Dreams… people that are saying "yes" to stepping out of their comfort zones to come love on the people of Uganda.

We are so grateful for their leaps of faith. Pray for their preparations, health, and hearts as they get closer to their trips! Pray that God will use their time in Uganda to make a difference and to impact their lives!
