We are celebrating 18 years of ministry work in Uganda, Africa! The founders began the work 19 years ago and SMI was officially recognized in 2004.
2005 - 50 children joined our sponsorship program. 18 years later... most of these children have graduated high school or college and have gone on to achieve their incredible dreams!! This wouldn't be possible without those who stepped out in faith and joined our incredible family of sponsors.
2012 - we had our very first Say No to Hunger Program. More children showed up than expected, BUT THE FOOD NEVER RAN OUT! Click here to read that story.
2022 - we have 5 SNTH locations and we are feeding over 200 children each week! BUT... that's not all! In 2020, we started the Hot Lunch Program. Over 100 children attend each week.
These children are being fed not only physically but spiritually!!
We now have 377 children in our sponsorship program. Out of those 377 children, only 46 do NOT have a sponsor. Would you consider joining our family of sponsors? YOU could be the answer to a child's heartfelt prayer!
Imagine the difficulty of a life without clean or running water. This is the reality for so many in Uganda.
Thankfully, YOU and some very generous donors have stepped in. In the past 18 years, 60 clean water wells have been drilled. 57 of those wells were drilled in 2021 and 2022. WOW!!
In 2005, we had our very first team visit Uganda! Now, we have had over __ people have joined us in Uganda. YOU COULD BE NEXT!

Many people in Uganda will not seek medical attention because of a lack of funds or availability of basic medical care.
THIS is why in 2012, we opened the SMI medial clinic. Now, over 30,000 patients have been served - from medical outreaches AND patients at the clinic.
Since then, we have grown by leaps and bounds! We now have the Birthing Center facility, a recently purchased ultrasound machine and a medical outreach vehicle. But that's not all! We are opening a NEW hospital facility!

In 2006, Mike Salley, one of the founders, was walking along the dirt roads of the 25 acre property in Uganda. He was reminded of the famous line in the movie, Field of Dreams, "If you build it HE will come."
We began to have a clearer vision of God's heart for this property. We knew amazing things would occur when we began to build. We saw lives being transformed by the power of LOVE and JESUS. 18 years later... this vision has come to fruition - Thousands of lives HAVE been transformed!!!
